What's
Happening Now.....
Updated
Feb 2008
The 1st of November Curly and I started trapping,
getting out more than 50 sets for Pine Martin,
and have taken a considerable amount of Martin,
Red Fox, Land Otter, Beaver, Muskrat and wolverine.
with over 20 miles of snow machine trails both
North and South of the Lodge.
The weather was mild in November and the first
part of December, but temperatures dropped well
below -30's over the holidays and we accumulated
over 4' of snow.
The
beginning of January our "best ever"
2008 Newsletters and our "newest"
Fishing DVD's were sent out, thanks to Lufkin
Printing and our great friend Burt Burchett.
If you've not received all or either please
contact us and we'll be happy to forward them
along. Theresa Daily of Daily's Web Design,
has done a wonderful job at up-dating out
Hunting, Fishing and Bed and Breakfast web
sites. New information and photo's have and
will be added to the web sites in the up coming
months.
The temperatures have been below 0 degrees,
but lots of sunshine so far in February with
a wind chill factor in the frostbite area,
but we have been keeping busy with the chores
around the lodge. We are standing ready to
do some fly-out hunting, deploying bucket
sets and snare sites for wolverine and wolves.
We are filling up our dates for both the hunting
and fishing trips, so don't hesitate to contact
us soon!!
We're always ready to answer any questions
concerning spending some time with us, either
hunting, fishing, or stays with us here @
Stoney River Lodge. We daily check e-mails
and have a phone answering recorder on when
we are not here.
Looking forward to hearing from you soon
2007
Season's End...
Well, it's October, and the time has come that
always does each year when the 2007 hunting
and fishing season is over. We feel very privileged
to have many new memories along with new friendships
of those that have shared their time with us.
We are now putting things in the winter mode.
Snow has fallen leaving us with about 2"s
and the lake is freezing over, leaving the once
Super Cub on floats for the summer and fall,
now a Super Cub on wheel ski's again for the
winter.

We
want to say "Thanks" to
all those that shared their spring, summer,
and fall time with us. We really enjoyed getting
to know you and sharing all your stories and
pictures, and you know it is "YOU"
that makes us who we are. We truly hope that
it would be our good fortune to have you and
your friends on a return trip at Stoney River
Lodge very soon in the near future.
